Evenings from the cottage balcony

Superior cottage, a slow dinner plan, and the hills turning blue.

Vikram Sethi

Our Superior cottage opened onto a small balcony with a straight view of trees and the wing beyond. We spent more time there than we expected.

Late afternoon: tea and a book. Dusk: watching staff light the paths. Night: listening to distant road noise fade while frogs took over.

The resort videos make the architecture look polished — in person the cottages feel practical and private. You are not stacked on a busy ghat road. You wake to birds, not horns.

We did one long lunch off-property and otherwise ate on MAP. The balcony became our “third place” between pool and restaurant. If you like quiet corners more than nightlife, ask for a cottage with a clear outward view.
