First landing from Jolly Grant

We flew into Dehradun (Jolly Grant) with a toddler and one soft bag. The drive to Panambi was shorter than our usual Gurgaon school run. Check-in staff helped with the stroller without making a scene of it.

That first hour — cool lobby air, cottage AC, a quick pool splash before sunset — is what the welcome films try to promise. For once the promise matched.

We never forced a packed itinerary. One gentle outing, plenty of lawn, early nights. If you are arriving by air with kids, this corridor beat fighting town traffic for a “central” hotel.
